Liz works with large film cameras, the largest being a 10”x8” Deardorff. She produces archivally permanent gelatin silver images on fibre-based paper, and tones these in selenium and sometimes in gold toner. Image sizes range from 5”x4” contact prints to 24”x20” enlargements. In addition to gelatin silver she also uses traditional contact printing processes such as platinum and printing out paper (POP).
Liz has attended workshops led by eminent photographers from both sides of the Atlantic. These include Thomas Joshua Cooper, John Blakemore, Jan Groover, Melanie Manchot, Fay Godwin and Keith Carter. She regularly participates in residential workshops at the Inversnaid Photography Centre in Scotland.
She is a member of IRIS International Centre for Women in Photography
Liz is profiled in the American photographic journal Black & White Magazine, issue no. 40, Nov/Dec 2005 (read review).
